GOOD WRITERS. BRIGHTER PEOPLE.

A space for words.
And the people behind them.

Hayseed Retreats makes space for creativity, reflection and the simple pleasure of writing alongside other people.

WHY WE GATHER

Writing can be solitary.
Beginning doesn't have to be.

Our retreats offer gentle structure and a welcoming community, wherever you happen to be writing.

We bring together creative prompts, focused writing time and optional conversation. The aim is simple: to help you make time for your work, develop an idea, and leave with something to return to.

Hayseed Retreats is part of Hayseed Education Ltd, alongside Hayseed's wider work in learning and creativity.

We also have ties to Central Portugal. These connections are shaping our ambition to bring writers and artists together near Castelo Branco for a small festival in summer 2027.

BEYOND THE RETREAT

My Failed Poetry.

A shared home for the podcast and online writing magazine.

The conversation doesn't have to end when the retreat closes. My Failed Poetry is the name of our podcast and online writing magazine project.

If you would like to discuss contributing writing developed during a retreat, get in touch for current editorial plans and submission arrangements.

Contributing is optional. Publication is subject to editorial consideration and the author's permission; writers retain ownership of their work.
